Acaena pallida (Kirk) Allen. Acaena pallida, commonly known as the sand bidibid, sand piripiri, pale bidibid, or dune buzzy, is a prostrate, herbaceous plant in the Rosaceae family that is native to New Zealand and south-eastern Australia, including Tasmania. It lives in coastal areas, primarily on sand dunes.
