Cyperus lecontei Torr. ex Steud.. Cyperus lecontei, also known as Le Conte's flatsedge, is a species of flowering plant in the sedge family Cyperaceae. It is native to the southeastern United States where it is most common in the state of Florida. The species is named in honor of the American naturalist John Eatton Le Conte (1784–1860) who collected the type specimen in eastern Florida.
